Increasing housing security, from homelessness to permanent housing.
Thousands of refugee claimants experience significant shelter needs when they arrive in Canada, and can be homeless for days, weeks, and sometimes months until they find permanent housing. Kinbrace operates six transitional housing units of varying sizes where refugee claimants live for 3 or more months as they make their refugee claims, orient to Canada, and search for a permanent home. 30-40 refugee claimants are assisted each year.
